AnimSchool is an accredited (ACCSC) online school for learning 3D animation, modeling and rigging. AnimSchool is dedicated to helping our graduates be prepared and able to succeed in their industry careers. Our graduates currently have an 86% placement rate in the industry. Learning directly from industry professionals in a live online classroom setting, you can work to gain the skills to get a job in 3D animation. AnimSchool teaches students career skills in either our Animation or Character Programs, from the first stages of learning to ready to look for work in the industry. AnimSchool also offers individual courses for working animators, modelers, riggers, and 3D generalists needing a career boost.
AnimSchool U.S. tuition costs are affordable for many. There is a one-time application fee of $125.

Why AnimSchool?
AnimSchool’s mission is to prepare our students to succeed in the industry. We have a simple philosophy about our graduates, “We can’t succeed unless the graduate succeeds.” We teach 3D animation, modeling, and rigging skills with our instructors, many who have worked at studios like Dreamworks, Disney, Sony, Riot Games, Reel FX, Blue Sky Studios, MPC, and Pixar, through live online classes. Our two programs offer high standards of progress, so graduates can be able to qualify for jobs in a competitive 3D animation industry.

How Do Our Online Classes Work?
AnimSchool courses are held live in video conferencing software so students can watch the instructor work and help with assignments. You can ask your instructor questions during the class or get a specific point of your work critiqued. Instructors at AnimSchool are professionals in the industry, many who have worked at studios like Dreamworks, Disney, Sony, Riot Games, Reel FX, Blue Sky Studios, MPC, and Pixar. They are willing to contribute to the success of future artists. Working with talented industry professionals helps our students reach the next level in their skills as strive towards joining the industry.

When a student is unable to attend a live meeting, we have a useful library of recordings from your class to help keep up. Students have access to recording of the class they missed, as well as all your past classes.

Do you want to work as a 3D animator in television, film, game and advertising?

Students here learn about posing, drawing, appeal, principles of motion, acting, and the classical principles of animation. Each week, animators from film and game studios work with the students one-by-one, giving the students a guided opportunity for growth. Animation is about bringing characters to life. This is a very demanding and competitive discipline, but for those of us in the field, all the hard work is worth that magic result: a character who seems to come to life on the screen.

The 3D Character Program (Modeling & Rigging)
This is how the characters are made
Do you want to learn how to make appealing 3D characters? To sculpt the shape, give them textures, and pose them.

Appealing and convincing characters are the heart of AnimSchool. Our Character Program students learn how to make great models and character rigs in ZBrush and Autodesk Maya, using the most up-to-date practices. AnimSchool’s character rigs are known around the world for flexibility and appeal. Our Malcolm 2.0 character and AnimSchool Picker have been downloaded over 100,000 times. We teach our modeling and rigging students industry workflows to improve the quality of their own work.

More than just the class you’re in, AnimSchool offers extracurricular opportunities to help you grow
Art Classes
All active Animschool students have access to our free Art Class. This weekly traditional art course is free and has a rotating curriculum for each term. In this class you will learn everything from drawing and character design to digital painting and storyboarding from current industry professionals.You can watch lessons on past topics through our recordings library. These art skills will better inform artistic decisions in 3D production, enabling you to create more appealing performances, and models. Past instructors include: Matt Boismier, Mike Mattesi, Ty Carter, Sylwia Bomba, Sean Sullivan, Heidi Smith, Bill Robinson, Cyril Jedor, Jie Gao, Simon Teramed, De’Von Stubblefield and more.
The General Reviews
We provide General Reviews as an additional tutoring opportunity, at no charge to the active students. Instructors lead these sessions and provide additional feedback to the students on homework, personal projects, portfolio materials, and even outside work they bring to the session. It can be very helpful to get a second or third opinion of your work, outside of your class. In animation, no matter what your area of focus is, getting lots of feedback will bring your project to the next level. Sometimes it just takes a fresh pair of eyes to see the areas that need improvement. Multiple General Reviews for both Character and Animation Students are held weekly throughout a term.
Starts Every 3 Months
We have 11 week terms at AnimSchool, students take one course in each term and learn to master the skills taught there before moving to the next. We hold four terms each year for: Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. If you get accepted early and make your first tuition payment, you can also get immediate access to lots of great site amenities to help you get started, like our Art Class and the General Reviews that we hold each term. Payment plans start as low as $362 US dollars per month for our Program Students.

AnimSchool alumni receive permanent access to their class recordings, and to all the AnimSchool animation rigs from their classes (both present and future rigs), they also have access to the art classes and continued portfolio reviews to help them prepare for applying for work and standing out from other applicants in the industry. Our graduates also receive job notifications as we receive them, which will help you to know about opportunities in the industry as they become available.

*Applying students will need a scan of their high school diploma (equivalent). We will also accept scans of a college degree or official college transcript.
About AnimSchool
Certificate of Completion
AnimSchool offers a Certificate of Completion upon graduation from a program. Graduating from an AnimSchool program will prepare you for employment in fields where 3D imagery and animation is used, primarily for the entertainment industries of feature film, visual effects, broadcast, computer gaming, advertising, (VR)virtual-reality, and illustration.

Experienced Instructors
To learn 3D Animation skills students can learn from pros from animation studios. Many of our instructors work or have worked at professional animation and game studios and will teach you the techniques and workflows they use to prepare you for a career. Each term we have over 30 instructors teach our classes. Many of our instructors have worked at studios like Dreamworks, Disney, Sony, Riot Games, Reel FX, Blue Sky Studios, MPC, and Pixar in the modeling, rigging, and animation departments.

When I say Animschool saved my life I don't exaggerate my expression.
